Rebuilding Together – Beit Vancouver
Beit Vancouver has stood at the heart of youth and community life in Kiryat Shmona for over four decades. Established in 1980, it serves as the central hub for youth and children’s programming in Kiryat Shmona. Each week, more than 1,000 children and teens from across the city participate in a wide range of programs that support leadership, inclusion, creativity, and emotional well-being.
Programs include the Youth City Council, the NETA program, Idan and Tzameret youth movements, Krembo Wings, Deoraita, Beit Gesher, dance classes, Matmon (a program for at-risk youth), The Studio Program (a social-emotional therapeutic initiative), a music centre, and many more.
Over the years, the relationship between the Vancouver community and the Community Centre has deepened and grown, and at its core stands Beit Vancouver, the vibrant home of learning and growth for the youth of Kiryat Shemona.
Throughout the war and ongoing instability, Beit Vancouver adapted to meet urgent needs—maintaining connection and reaching thousands of residents through flexible, community-based programming.
As residents return, city leadership and volunteers are driving a focused effort to rebuild community life, reaching thousands of residents through flexible, community-based programming, providing a sense of stability, belonging, and routine. As the central hub for youth programs, organizations, and services, Beit Vancouver provides children and families with a sense of stability and belonging as they come home.
Today, as families return, it provides a critical sense of stability, belonging, and routine. However, after more than a decade without renovation, and following years of intense use, the facility urgently requires renewal.
Investing in Beit Vancouver is an investment in a strong, resilient future for children, families, and the entire community.
