Jewish Federation of British Columbia is the central organization connecting, supporting, and strengthening Jewish life across our province. Guided by Jewish values and powered by community partnership, we bring people together to care for one another, respond to need, and build a strong Jewish future, today and for generations to come.
MISSION
Inspired by our Jewish values we strengthen the quality of Jewish life locally, in Israel and around the world. Together we create a vibrant, caring and inclusive community.
VISION
We envision a province proudly connected to our work across British Columbia, Israel, and the global Jewish community, serving and enabling Jewish life in all its diversity. Wherever you are, our work reaches every heart and every generation.
Our work is inspired by the Jewish values of:
repairing
the world.
justice,
charity.
the unity of all
the Jewish people.
loving
kindness.
We turn mission into action by identifying needs, mobilizing resources, and working in partnership to strengthen Jewish life.
Through community planning and our central fundraising efforts, we support a strong network of services reaching across British Columbia and beyond. Working closely with our agency partners, we fund and collaborate with organizations delivering vital programs in education, care, safety, and community wellbeing.
At the heart of our work is caring for the most vulnerable members of our Jewish family, including seniors, children and adults with special needs, and those facing poverty, isolation, or crisis.
We invest in Jewish education and lifelong learning, ensuring our traditions, values, and identity are carried forward for generations. We advocate on behalf of the Jewish community, alongside our partners, working with local, national, and international organizations to promote safety, combat antisemitism, and strengthen Canada’s relationship with Israel.
Together, this work, powered by strong partnerships, connects people, sustains Jewish life, and builds a resilient community, now and into the future.
