Israel Connections

Connecting People, Community, and Purpose

A Living Connection Between Israel and Our Community

Our vision is bold: to build the most Israel-connected Jewish community in North America. This is a generational journey, and we are just getting started. Our mission is to make that connection personal, meaningful, and part of everyday life in BC. Through community impact in Israel, transformative experiences, and programs that bring Israel into community life here at home, our Federation helps sustain a living connection that flows both ways. Read on to discover how you can take part.

Our Impact in Israel

A Longstanding Partnership. Sustained Impact. Shared Strength.

For decades, our Federation has worked alongside communities and partners in Israel to strengthen education, support social services, and advance regional development. This enduring relationship strengthens daily life, supports vulnerable populations, and invests in community resilience, work that continues year-round and becomes especially vital in times of heightened challenges.

Israel Experiences

Journeys That Shape Identity and Belonging
Whether it’s a first trip for a teenager or a deep-dive mission for an adult, experiencing Israel in person turns a distant concept into a lifelong sense of belonging. Through Birthright, Masa, March of the Living, and community-led journeys, we move beyond the headlines to build a personal, unbreakable bond with Israel, and see for ourselves what it is really like.

Bringing Israel to BC

Shared Moments That Connect Us

In British Columbia, our community experiences Israel through the people we meet, the traditions we uphold, and the moments we share. Through programs like Shinshinim, which bring young Israeli leaders into our schools and communal spaces, to communal gatherings such as Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut, and Gesher Chai (Living Bridge) initiatives, Israel’s stories, culture, and spirit are woven into the rhythm of daily community life, creating spaces for remembrance, celebration, reflection, and connection that resonate close to home.
